Shout out to the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering! For the last two days, they have been at CATA teaching some Cullman County 8th graders about rocketry, coding, microbits, articial intelligence, and more. Hands-on learning is always the most fun!

Today, Ty Gurley and Santiago Barillas from the CATA Building Construction Program designed and built a popsicle stick bridge that held a whopping 285 ibs., shattering the record of 185 lbs. from 10 years ago. They came up with a unique design that basically doubled every component normally used in a popsicle bridge. Great thinking and job guys.
