Our CATA FCCLA officers from Educators in Training and Culinary Arts had an amazing opportunity today attending the DISCOVER FCCLA Leadership Conference at Athens State University!

They spent the day building leadership skills, connecting with other student leaders, and gaining inspiration to bring back to their chapters. We are so proud of their commitment to growing as leaders and representing CATA with excellence!

Aden Carmichael from FHS & CATA Building Construction earns his OSHA 30 certificate

Today, Ty Gurley and Santiago Barillas from the CATA Building Construction Program designed and built a popsicle stick bridge that held a whopping 285 ibs., shattering the record of 185 lbs. from 10 years ago. They came up with a unique design that basically doubled every component normally used in a popsicle bridge. Great thinking and job guys.
