Middle school shot a season high 3175! We placed 3rd! Sarah Self was our top archer with a 279! Gage McCurry was our top male with a 273!



It's almost spring break and it's almost time for ACAP testing! Chromebooks need to be returned with the charger by Thursday this week. You can help us by double checking with your middle school student to make sure these items are ready to be turned in.

Be watching for some information about our upcoming field trip to the Nutcracker Ballet.
All students will be going to Birmingham to the BJCC on Thursday, December 14.
There is no cost for this event.
Buses will leave GHMS at 8:00 and return around 2:00.
Lunch will be provided.
Your child will bring home information about this field trip today.

Our 8th grade students will be participating in a county-wide event called Tools of the Trade tomorrow, November 8. Buses will begin boarding at 7:50. Buses will return around 1:30. Tools of the Trade will be at Wallace State Community College. There is no charge, and lunch will be provided for our students. We are so excited for our students to experience this event!

-We will have a Halloween dance on October 31st. The cost of the dance will be $10.00. We will have an arcade trailer and bounce house. We will also have Kona Ice for an additional cost if your child would like to purchase one. Students may wear a costume as long as it doesn't have a mask or accessories.
-Also, Parents: Rooms is up and running. Teachers are sending communication on Rooms for you and your children each week. Please make sure that you are checking your Rooms account daily. It is hosted on the CCBOE app, and enabling notifications will allow you to receive important information regarding special events, upcoming assignments, and notes specifically about your child.
-On Wednesday we are encouraging everyone to wear something plaid. The theme for the day is "We Are Plaid to Be Drug Free!"
